K & L: Nous sommes à la sale des fêtes pour le Téléthon 2011. Nous avons vu le flamenco plein de fois, mais c'est toujours aussi magnifique. K & L: For the 2011 Telethon, we watched a flamenco. No matter how many times we watch them dance, it's always magnificent.

K: Tata Roberte nous a préparé des délicieux desserts. O: Après le repas, est-ce qu'on peut jouer encore avec Alpine? K & O: We're at Tata Roberte's place, eating the delicious desserts and trying to avoid Alpine licking our legs.

K: Cette année, pour Saint Nicholas (assis à droite), les enfants de l'association France-Hongrie Dauphiné ont préparé une pièce de théâtre. K: This year, the kids from the Hungarian association prepared a special performance for Saint Nicholas (sitting on the right and enjoying himself).

L: Après le fiasco du mois dernier (quand on m'a donné du lait caillé), finalement je m'habitue au biberon avec du lait fraichement tiré. L: After last month's fiasco (when my parents gave me milk that has gone sour), finally I am getting used to my baby bottle (this time, with good milk).

L: Est-ce que vous savez que nous n'avons pas de télé à la maison? Donc, je dois m'accontenter de la machine à laver pour me divertir. L: You know that we don't have a TV at home, right? So Mommy and Daddy have to come up with the next best thing to calm me down. And look, it works!

L: Encore quelques jours et on part très loin! Youpi! L: A few more days and we're going on our big trip! Yaaay!

K & O & L: Notre papa est très fort, il arrive à faire le cheval avec trois enfants sur lui. K & O & L: Our Daddy is very strong; he can carry all three of us without any effort.

K & O: C'est la session coloriage avec Eva-Mari et Jessica. K & O: It's coloring fever with Eva-Mari and Jessica.

L: Encore quelques jours et c'est Noël! Youpi! L: A few more days and it's Christmas! Yaaay!

L: Ne sois pas triste, papa. 2012 sera encore plus heureuse que 2011, je te le promets. L: Don't be sad, Daddy! 2012 is going to be an even happier year than 2011, I promise!

K: Nous participons chaque année aux chants de Noël avec l'Alliance Grenoble-Oxford, mais c'est la première fois que je dois travailler. K: We go every year to the Christmas carols with the Alliance Grenoble-Oxford, but it's the first time I have to work behind the counter.

L: C'est la première fois que je bois d'un verre. Comme c'est intéressant, devenir grand. L: This is the first time I'm drinking from a glass. How exciting, I'm becoming a big boy!

O: Le mercredi après-midi, je vais à l'école du cirque, où j'apprends à sauter, jongler des choses, jeter des balles, des anneaux et des écharpes dans l'air, et où je m'amuse énormement. O: On wednesday afternoons, I go to the circus school, where I learn to jump, juggle things, throw balls, rings and scarfs in the air, and have lots of fun.

O & L: Eh, cet ananas est devenu une tortue très mignonne, exactement comme sur le poster dans notre cuisine. O & L: Hey, we transformed this pineapple into a cute turtle, just like on our kitchen poster.

K & R & O: Qui c'est qui a dit que nous n'allons pas décorer de sapin de Noël cette année? Et Papa Noël, où est-ce qu'il va mettre nos cadeaux? K & R & O: Who said we won't decorate a Christmas tree this year? Santa needs to put our presents under something.

O: Un papillon s'est caché du temps froid dans notre appartement. Et il veut être mon ami. O: A butterfly hid in our apartment from the winter outside. And he wants to be my friend.

K & O: C'est une belle surprise! Juste un jour avant de partir, la neige est tombée pour nous souhaiter un bon voyage. K & O: Now that's a nice surprise! Just the day before our big trip, the snow fell, as if to wish us an excellent journey.

K & O & L: Australie, on arrive! On part de la gare de Voiron dans un TER jusqu'à Lyon, puis un TGV jusqu'à Paris, et après c'est les avions jusqu'à Melbourne en changeant à Dubai et à Singapour... K & O & L: Australia, here we come! We start our voyage at the train station, where we will take the first train to Lyon, then the second train to Paris, and then it's airplanes until Melbourne with stops in Dubai and Singapour...

... Et après 39 heures de voyage (porte à porte) ... ... And after 39 hours of travel (door to door) ...

K: ... Nous voici à Briar Hill, devant la maison de tata Veronica, avec Jackson, notre cousin. K: J'ai perdu ma deuxième dent de lait en Australie. Ce n'est donc pas la petite souris, mais la fée qui m'a apporté 20 cents australiens. K: I've lost my second tooth in Australia, so it's the Tooth Fairy that took it and left 20 Aussie cents for me.

K: Nous sommes aux Dandenong Ranges en train de nourrir les oiseaux. Il y a des perruches royales, des rosellas et des cacatoes partout... K: We're at the Dandenong Ranges feeding birds. The one on my head is a rosella, next to me is a king parrot, and in the background you can see three cockatoos...

K & O: Bon appétit, petit cacatoès! Ne mords pas papa pendant qu'il prend la photo. K & J & O: Everyone is happy to see the cockatoo munch on some seeds. If only he would talk to us. Cocky wants a cracker?

K & O: Et voici Alana, notre cousine australienne. Son papa, tonton Magoo, a plusieurs beaux motos, dont vous voyez deux ici. K & O: And this is Alana, our second Australian cousin. Her dad, Uncle Magoo, has several beautiful motorcycles in his garage.

K & O: Attention, Franci nena, ne t'approche pas trop des émeus, ils ne nous inspirent pas confiance. K & O: Watch out, Franci nena, don't go too close to the emus! We don't trust them, what with those long necks and strong beaks.

K: Merci, tata Jody, d'avoir proposé de venir dans ce sanctuaire pour les animaux. C'est une expérience unique de nourrir les wallabies... K: There are wallabies that we can feed everywhere in the Moonlit Sanctuary. Thank you, aunt Jody, for suggesting to us to come here...

O: ... Moi, j'ai même deux wallabies qui veulent manger de ma main. Ne vous bousculez pas, j'en ai assez de nourriture pour tous les deux. O: ... Look, I even have two wallabies that I can feed. Don't fight, you guys, there's enough food for everyone.

K & A & O: Un koala! Un vrai koala qu'on peut caresser! Ca, c'est la bonheur! K & A & O: A koala! A real live koala bear that we can pet! This is what real happiness is, we reckon.

K & O: Pour nous, cela fait très bizarre de se baigner en décembre, mais nous voilà au lac Emerald. Hourra pour l'été! ... K & O: It's really strange to go swimming in December, but here we are at Emerald Lake doing just that. Long live the summer! ...

L: ... Et si vous trouviez bizarre de se baigner dans le lac, nous voici à l'océan. L'eau est très agréable, malgré le vent qui souffle assez fort. Hmmmm, tout ce "quand c'est l'hiver ici, c'est l'été là-bas" nous fait réfléchir, papa et moi. L: ... And if you thought it's strange to swim in the lake, how about in the ocean? Even with the wind, the water is not cold at all. Hmmmm, all this "when it's winter here, it's summer there" requires some more pondering.

K & O: Un soir, nous sommes allés voir les jolies maisons décorées pour Noël avec tata Veronica, Jackson et Franci nena. K & O: One evening, we went to see the houses with Christmas-themed decorations with aunt Veronica, Jackson, and Franci nena.

K & A & J & O: Quels jolies décorations pour le repas de Noël! Des petits cadeaux, des crackers, des pailles rigolottes, des chaussettes, et tout ça avant le repas et les cadeaux. K & A & J & O: What a beautiful setup for our Christmas meal! We have little presents, crackers, funky straws, stockings, and this is before the meal and the presents.

L: La diversification de mon alimentation commence finalement. Donne les carottes, maman, donne-les! Franci nena peine à me tenir stable, j'ai trop envie de manger. L: Finally, they are giving me real food to eat. Don't misunderstand me, I love Mommy's milk, but lately I haven't gained much weight, so I need to eat! More carrots, please! Poor Franci nena, she can hardly hold me still, that's how excited I am.

Papa Noël: Joyeux Noël, ho ho ho! Je vous ai apporté plein de cadeaux australiens, vu que vous étiez tous très sages cette année. Santa Claus: Merry Christmas, ho, ho, ho! I've brought you a lot of Australian presents, since you were all very good this year.

K & O: Ca aussi, c'est du jamais vu! Nous sommes en train de manger des glaces en maillots de bain devant le sapin de Noël. K & O: Well, here's another thing we've never done: eating ice-cream in bathing suits in front of a Christmas tree.

K & O: Parmi les créatures de l'aquarium de Melbourne, nous avons bien apprécié les penguins... K & O: Among the creatures at the Melbourne aquarium, we loved the penguins jumping in the water and swimming next to us...

K & O & L: ... On a vu des requins et des raies, des tortues et le dragon de mer feuillu, des silures de verre et des poissons-ballons, des étoiles de mer et d'autres merveilles du notre planète bleue. K & O & L: ... We also saw sharks and stingrays, turtles and the leafy seadragon, glass catfish and pufferfish, starfish and other wonders of our beautiful blue planet.

O: Je suis très fier de mon papa, il a réussi de se mettre debout sur la planche de surf plusieurs fois. R: Oui, c'est très exaltant de sentir la puissance de l'océan sous nos pieds. O: I'm really proud of Daddy, he managed to stand up on the surfboard more than once. R: Yes, riding the waves was an exhilarating experience.

C: Il ne faut surtout pas oublier qu'en Australie, on conduit à gauche. Quelque chose que Robert a oublié une ou deux fois pendant notre séjour. C: When he was tired a couple of times, Robert forgot that in Australia, we drive on the left side. There were no accidents, fortunately.

K & J: Imaginez, quelque part derrière nous, c'est l'Antarctique. Ca fait réfléchir et sourire. K & J: Time to stop for a break in front of the vast ocean. Imagine, somewhere far behind us is Antarctica.

L: Ayez confiance dans l'univers! Même quand on est perdu, c'est pour une bonne raison. Par exemple, ici, on a quitté la Great Ocean Road par erreur, mais c'était pour trouver ces koalas dans l'arbre. L: Funny story! We got lost on the Great Ocean Road, but we found two cute koala bears sitting in the tree. Did you see the claws on this one?

K & O: Nous sommes aux Douze Apôtres. Une vue panoramique époustouflante. K & O: We're at the famous Twelve Apostles. What a glorious panoramic view!

K & O: Ce train touristique nous apporte autour du Caribbean Garden Market, où Franci nena vendait ses fleurs et les robes qu'elle créait. K & O: All aboard! This little train will take us around the Caribbean Garden Market, where Franci nena used to sell clothes and flowers.

O: Le Luna Park de Melbourne abrite le Scenic Railway (en blanc, derrière), la montagne russe en opération depuis 1912. Nous l'avons essayé et elle est intense (il y a un homme debout entre les deux wagons qui doit freiner pour nous ralentir). O: Melbourne's Luna Park has many great rides. The Scenic Railway (white in the back) was a lot of fun and really scary, especially since there is a brakesman standing in the middle of the train.

K & O & L: En route vers Sydney, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Gundagai pour manger et nous avons trouvé tous ces Harleys dans la ville. K & O & L: On the road to Sydney, we stopped at Gundagai for lunch and we checked out all the Harleys.

K & O & L: Nous sommes à Tidbinbilla, une réserve naturelle pleine de kangourous. Quelle grâce quand ils sautent! Nous aurions dû rester dormir avec eux dans la réserve. K & O & L: We're at the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve near Canberra. The kangaroos roam freely here. Another funny story! We got locked in since we arrived late to the gate and we had to wait two hours to be rescued.

K & O: Toujours sur la route vers Sydney, nous nous sommes arrêté à Goulburn pour manger et nous avons découvert le Big Merino. Vous nous voyez assis devant cette grande statue. K & O: Still driving towards Sydney, we stopped in Goulburn to eat and discovered the Big Merino. You can see us sitting in front of it.
