L: Non, non, je vous assure, c'est la première fois. Non, ce n'est pas moi qui ai pris le yaourt la semaine dernière. Non, la compôte de hier, non plus. Non, non. L: Pity, it looks like I've been caught stealing from the fridge again. Well, can you blame me? I'm a big boy, I need to eat more than just what my parents are giving me.

O: Pour la troisième édition de la Biennale Tous créateurs, quelques classes des écoles de Voiron ont préparé un spectacle dans le parc de l'Hôtel de ville. Ma classe a dansé une danse africaine... O: Every two years, the city of Voiron organizes a big parade in the streets with diverse dances and theatre plays. Our class contributed with an African dance...

K: ... Et ma classe a dansé une danse moderne (ou plutôt post-moderne). Je suis celle avec le bandeau blanc. K: ... Right after Orlando's class, our class danced a modern, or rather a post-modern dance. I'm the one with the white headband.

O: C'est ma copine Lily. Elle s'est probablement battue à l'école, vu que deux de ces dents manquent. O: Really, Lily? You're only one year older than me? And two teeth less than me?

Un collage de Mondes des Utopies, le spectacle de rue créé par la Fabrique des Petites Utopies. Les 1400 participants de la parade ont traversé les rues de Voiron pour arriver à l'esplanade du Colombier, où nous avons assisté aux feux d'artifices et au lâcher de lanternes. O: Déjà vu? Bah, oui, mais cette fois-ci, nous allons performer notre danse à la fête de l'école... O: No, it's not a deja vu. Well, actually, yes, we did perform the same dance, but this time, it was for our school festival...

O: ... Et après, nous chantons quelques chansons que nous avons appris pendant cette année scolaire. O: ... Everyone sang few of the songs we've learned during the schoolyear. Some sang well, some not so much.

K: Il y a un mûrier dans l'école maternelle, et papa m'a obligé de grimper sur l'arbre et de lui ramasser quelques mures mûres... K: You know, Daddy, I'd rather just eat all the mulberries by myself, rather than sharing them with you. But thank you for putting me up on the tree...

O: ... Dans mon école, il y a aussi un aire de jeux, mais papa n'a pas besoin de m'aider, j'y monte tout seul. O: ... On the top of the playground, I feel like I'm flying. And Daddy does not need to help me, I can climb up here all by myself.

K & O & L: C'est la journée de mamans, et la nôtre est très contente avec ses cadeaux et les poèmes qu'on a appris à l'école. K & O & L: Usually for Mother's Day, our teachers make us prepare presents and learn poems. This year was no different, which makes Mommy very happy with us.

K & O & L: Cela fait longtemps que nous ne sommes pas allés à la cafétéria. K & O & L: Recently, we've been very busy with work and school, so it sure was nice to go eat at the cafeteria one night.

L: Attends, papa, il y a quelque chose de collé au fond de la poubelle. Peut-être quelque chose qu'on peut manger... Ah, beurk, non, non, ce n'est pas bon à manger. L: Either I'm mistaken or there's something stuck at the bottom of the trashcan. Hold on, Daddy, maybe it's edible... Hmmm... Yuck, no, no, it's not edible.

Chaque année, on organise la fête des voisins. Cela permet de se connaître un peu mieux avec les gens qui habitent autour de nous et avec qui d'habitude nous n'échangons qu'un "bonjour, ça va" cordial. Like each year, we get together with our neighbors for the traditional Neighbors' Day picnic. It gives us the possibility to get to know the people who live around us and to whom we only say the perfunctory "hello, how are you" when we meet.

K: Viens, Ludwig, je vais te montrer quelque chose de rigolo. L: T'es sûre que ce n'est pas une bêtise? ... K: I'll show you something funny, Ludwig. L: Are you sure it's safe? ...

L: ... Et voilà! Je savais que c'était une bêtise. D'ailleurs, tu as déjà fait ça avec Orlando. K: Ohlala, désolée! L: ... Kylie-Anne! I knew it wasn't safe. Anyway, you've already done this with Orlando. K: Oops, sorry!

L: Maman fait du basket tous les vendredi, et cette fois-ci, nous l'avons regardé marquer une dizaine de paniers. L: Every Friday, Mommy goes to play basketball. This time, we went with her, and I got to shoot some hoops, also. Kind of.

K: A la fête de l'école, nous avons présenté une danse orientale avec mes amies. Vous aimez bien mon costume? K: At our school festival, I danced an oriental bellydance with my friends. Do you like my outfit?

K & O: S'il y a quelque chose qu'on aime faire tous les deux, c'est de grimper dans les arbres. K & O: Can we go even higher, you ask? Yes, we certainly can!

K & O & L: C'est la journée de papas, et le nôtre est très content avec ses cadeaux et les poèmes qu'on a appris à l'école. K & O & L: Happy Father's Day, Daddy! We made you gifts and learned poems for you, and we love you very very much.

O: J'ai cinq ans et j'ai invité plein de monde à la fête de mon anniversaire. Il y avait Chloé, Swann, Nils, Mathis, Thomas et Arthur. O: Everyone had fun at my birthday. We played all kinds of games with Chloé, Swann, Nils, Mathis, Thomas, and Arthur.

O: Mon gâteau d'anniversaire était très spécial. C'est un camion avec des gummy bears, Smarties, groseilles, bananes et cerises. O: Right away I knew that my birthday cake will be special. It's a truck with gummy bears, Smarties, redcurrants, bananas, and cherries.

L: C'est la première fois que je me mets sur la balançoire. Vas-y, Chloé, pousse-moi plus vite! L: Right! I'm ready, Chloé, you can push me now. I can't believe this is my first time on the swing. It's so much fun!

L: Vous savez, je grandis très vite. D'abord la balançoire, et maintenant sur la chaise. Il y a encore un mois je ne pouvais pas faire ces choses. L: You know, I'm becoming a big boy. First the swing, now I'm sitting in a chair. A month ago I couldn't do these things.

L: T'es sûre que tu veux que je t'aide, maman? Après tout, chaque fois je remets autant d'articles que j'enlève. L: Are you sure you need my help with the laundry, Mommy? All I'm doing is taking it out and throwing it on the floor.

O: Attention, il faut que je me concentre. Ce n'est pas facile de marcher sur un fil tendu, même si Marine (ma prof de l'école du cirque) me tient bien la main. O: No time for smiling on this picture, I need to concentrate on walking this tightrope. It's harder than it looks, even if my circus class teacher, Marine, is holding my hand tightly.

K & O & L: Ce printemps, il a plu beaucoup et ça, c'est la première fois que nous venons au lac Paladru. Mais ce n'est pas la dernière fois! K & O & L: Doesn't it seem strange that the first time we go to the Paladru lake is in mid-June? We had a very rainy spring this year.

K: Je suis en train de chanter avec toute ma classe de l'éveil musical. Dommage qu'on a pas nos instruments pour faire plus de bruit. K: I went to a music class this year and I'm singing all the songs that we learned throughout the year.

K & O: Comme chaque année, au début de l'été c'est la Fêté de la musique, avec plein de concerts et des spectacles dans les rues. K & O: Just like every year, the beginning of the summer is celebrated throughout France as the Music Day, with street concerts and performances galore.

K & O: Nos parents (et les parents de Sophie et Cloé) nous permettent vraiment tout. Il faudra peut-être veiller à ne pas nous laisser faire tout ce qu'on veut. K & O: Unless it's sanctioned by your parents, you really shouldn't climb the walls and windows like Sophie, Cloé, and the two of us.

L: Papa a raison, c'est très rigolo de faire le singe. Regardez comment je tiens bien la branche avec mes jambes L: Stop fooling around, Daddy! What if I fall? Have you ever thought of that possibility?

K: Il n'y a que des filles à l'anniversaire d'Aurélien. Il y a Maya, Maëlys, Juliette et moi. Quelle chance, Aurélien! K: Two girls is not enough. Three girls is not enough. Four girls, now we're talking. At least, that's what Aurélien got for his birthday.

L: Quelle merveilleuse vue du lac d'Aiguebelette! Et quelle joie de se baigner dans l'eau avec papa! L: What a great view of the Aiguebelette lake! And what fun it is to swim in the lake with Daddy!

O & L: Nous sommes au cirque de Saint-Même avec les familles Horvath et Alciati. O & L: A picture with the Horvath family and the Alciati family at the Saint Même waterfalls.

K & O: La cascade est très jolie, mais elle est rigolotte, aussi, parce qu'elle nous éclabousse. Par contre, l'eau est glaciale. K & O: No, none of us fell in the water, but we did get splashed by the waterfall. Brrrr, it was cold!

L: Vous avez remarqué que la partie gauche de la photo est plein de lumière et la partie droite de la photo est plus sombre, plus obscure. Cet appareil photo a bien repéré l'état d'âme de chacun de nous. L: Notice the disparity between the left side and the right side of the picture? The left side is all arid and the right side lush. And then there's the background, also.

O: Pendant le spectacle Abrakadabra de la fin d'année, avec Inès et Yanis, nous étions des abeilles très énergiques. Bzzzz... O: Abrakadabra! Buzz, buzz, buzz, I'm as busy as a bee, you can go biking just like me (and Inès and Yanis)...

K: ... Et maintenant, c'est à moi. En fait, j'étais dans pas moins de trois parties du spectacle, le privilège d'être la fille de Mme Abrakadabra. K: ... Keep watching, it's my turn now! We're at the Abrakadabra Olympic Games in London, but I also did a play with Ella earlier and another one in Spanish. It's a privilege to have a Mommy who teaches English and Spanish to kids. Maybe when I'm a grown-up, I'll be a teacher myself.

L: J'adore être tout nu et jouer avec la balle. Et vous? L: I love to play ball naked, don't you?

K: Ouais! Maman a mis le bâteau sur notre terrasse et maintenant, on a notre piscine. C'est fantastique! K: Sweet! Mommy finally put out the boat on the terrace and now we have a pool. It's fantastic!

K: Un jour, papa m'a habillé, m'a mis dans la cuisine et il est parti ranger quelque chose. Une minute après, il sort sur la terrace et là, il y a une surprise dans le bâteau. Il faut jamais laisser les enfants sans surveillance. Réfléchis, papa! K: So one day, Daddy put on my clothes, put me on the floor in the kitchen and went to clean up a little bit. Then he came out on the terrasse, and guess what! I was in the boat. Think, Daddy, think!

Cette année, c'est le tour des groupes folklorique du Mexique, d'Argentine, des Philippines, de la République Tchèque, de la République d'Altaï et de la Moldavie roumaine. L: De temps en temps, cela fait bien de s'allonger sur l'herbe avec maman et papa et de faire le farniente. L: Once in a while, it's nice just to lie back on the grass with Mommy and Daddy and do nothing.

L: Il est après 19 heures et le mâitre-nageur est parti. Mais ne vous inquiètez pas, le mâitre-nageur junior est resté. L: Unfortunately, it's after 7 PM and the lifeguard has gone home. But fear not, the junior lifeguard is still on duty.
