K & L: L'été arrive bientôt et on est très contents, donc on fait les fous avec maman. K & L: It's Saturday morning and we're fooling around with Mommy. Summer is around the corner, so why not?

K: Je fête mon anniversaire avec mes copines: Julia, Cloé, Sophie, Eva, Ysée et Anaïs... K: I'm celebrating my birthday with my girlfriends: Julia, Cloé, Sophie, Eva, Ysée, and Anaïs...

K: ... Au programme: séances de maquillage, jeux de société, jeu à boire (sans alcool) et bien sûr le château d'anniversaire... K: ... On the agenda, makeup sessions, a board game, a drinking game (no alcohol), and of course a birthday castle...

K: ... Tout le monde s'éclate! Encore un anniversaire bien réussi. Yes! K: ... And it sure seems that everyone is having lots of fun.

L: Chut, j'ai besoin de me concentrer pour équilibrer tous ces objets sur la petite voiture jaune. L: Shhh, I need to concentrate if I am to balance all these objects on the little yellow car.

L: Et oui, je suis assez grand maintenant pour aider maman avec le jardinage. L: As you can see, I'm big enough now to help Mommy with her gardening.

K & O & L: Chaque fois que nous allons à la cafétéria, il y a des nouvelles voitures à essayer. Peut-être que nous n'y allons pas assez souvent. K & O & L: Each time we go to the cafeteria, there are new cars to try out in Carrefour. Maybe we're not going there often enough.

K & O: Nous jouons au badminton avec Eva et Arthur. L: N'oubliez pas de ramasser les volants à la fin du jeu. K & O: We're playing badminton with Eva and Arthur. L: Don't forget to pick up the shuttlecocks at the end of the game.

K & O & L: Maman a investi dans un cueille-fruits, mais cette année, les cerises étaient tardives et petites. K & O & L: Mommy bought a fruit picker, but thanks to a rainy year, the cherries arrived late and were small.

O: Je suis avec Maud et Benoît, mes maîtres de grande section à l'école maternelle. O: I'm with Maud and Benoît, my teachers during this last year at the maternal school.

R: Très studieux, je suis en train de passer le concours d'admissibilité pour être professeur d'écoles. Je serai reçu, bien sûr. (Comme s'il y avait un doute.) ;) Merci, Céline, de m'avoir inscrit à l'examen. R: I'm taking the state exam to become a teacher at a primary school. I will pass it, of course. (As if there is ever any doubt.) ;) Thank you, Céline, for signing me up for this exam.

K & O & L: Mamie et papy nous ont gardé pendant que nos parents passaient leur concours. K & O & L: Grandma and Grandpa came to babysit us while our parents took the teacher's exam.

L: Cette boule est trop lourde; je n'arrive même pas la bouger d'un millimètre. L: I can't believe this stone ball is so heavy! It's not moving at all.

L: Comment ça, ma soeur et mon frère n'ont pas encore bu de champagne? Ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils perdent. L: What do you mean, my siblings haven't tried champagne before? Give them some, for crying out loud! It's so bubbly!

O: Nous fêtons mon anniversaire avec mamie et papy en mangeant un délicieux gâteau de cerises. O: We're celebrating my birthday with Grandma and Grandpa with a delicious cherry cake.

K & O & L: Finalement, il fait assez beau pour sortir le hamac et la balançoire. Par contre, vu que certains voisins ne les apprécient pas, on les a bien cachés cette fois-ci. K & O & L: Finally the weather is warm enough to hook up the hammock and the swing. But since some neighbors do not like them, we hid them out of sight.

O: Le thème de mon anniversaire cette année est le dragon. Nous en avons fait avec mes copains: Maïlys, Mathis, Emré et Soel... O: The theme of my birthday this year is dragons. We made some with my friends: Maïlys, Mathis, Emré, and Soel...

O: ... Mes parents ont une imagination débordante. Regardez juste mon gâteau-dragon et les jeux d'extérieur qu'ils nous ont préparés. O: ... My birthday cake was also a dragon, and we had a dragon of a time playing outside and inside.

K & O: Nous aimons notre papa! Pour la fête des pères, nous avons créé plusieurs belles peintures à l'école et nous avons appris des poèmes pour lui réciter. K & O: We love our Daddy! At school, for Father's Day, we created beautiful pictures and learned poems just for him.

L: J'ai Doudou Blue sur ma tête. Pourquoi est-ce que j'ai Blue sur ma tête? Qu'est-ce qu'il fait là-haut? L: Doudou Blue is on the top of my head! Blue is on the top of my head! What's he doing on the top of my head?

K & O & L: Ca y est! Finalement il fait assez chaud pour mettre la piscine sur notre terasse, pour se baigner et pour se sécher au soleil. K & O & L: Finally the weather is warm enough to plunge in the pool on our terrace and to dry in the sun afterwards.

K & O & L: La Fête de la musique est célébré dans une centaine de pays à travers le monde le soir du 21 juin. Et s'il y a de la barbe à papa, nous, on est là. K & O & L: The World Music Day is celebrated throughout the world on the evening of June 21st. And if there's cotton candy involved, count us in!

R: Après avoir fait deux katas, dix techniques et deux combats, j'ai reçu la ceinture jaune de Laï Muoï. Malheureusement, ma famille ne s'est pas déplacé pour me voir en action, donc voici d'autres pratiquants du Laï Muoï au gymnase à Saint-Marcellin. R: After two katas, ten techniques, and two fights, I received the yellow belt in Laï Muoï. Unfortunately, my family did not come to see me in action, so here are some other fighters at the gym in Saint-Marcellin.

L: Oh, il est excellent ce train à bascule. Mais, où sommes-nous, en fait? ... L: Oh, this rocking train is pretty cool. Where are we, anyway? ...

K & O & L: ... Nous sommes au Jardin Ferroviaire à Chatte avec Wen, une copine de Chine. C'est impressionant de voir tous ces trains miniatures, un véritable réseau ferroviaire dans un jardin... K & O & L: ... We're at the Railway Garden in Chatte with Wen, a Chinese friend. It's quite impressive to see these miniature trains wander throughout the garden...

K & O & L: ... Il y a un jeu d'observation où il faut trouver 20 objets soigneusement cachés dans le jardin, et nous en avons trouvé 17. Pas mal du tout! K & O & L: ... There are 20 objects hidden amongst the intricately detailed buildings and landscapes, and we found 17 of them. Not bad at all!

O: Moi aussi, je veux essayer ce train à bascule avant qu'on parte. O: Before we leave, I want to try out this rocking train, too.

K & O & L: Notre prochaine destination: Miripili, l'île aux pirates! K & O & L: Next stop: Miripili, the island of the pirates!

L: Le coq fait cocorico, mais pour moi, en ce moment, tous les oiseaux disent "colico". L: The rooster says cock-a-doodle-doo, but right now, for me, all birds say one thing: "colico".

K & O: A Miripili, le capitaine Brisebarre nous a préparé des énigmes et des activités sportives, mais nous avons également eu le temps de nous reposer dans des hamacs... K & O: At Miripili, we had to solve problems and find stamps and climb nets and rest in hammocks and smell spices and recognize animal noises...

K & O: ... Et à la fin, vu que nous avons été très diligents, nous avons accédé au coffre du capitaine et nous avons chacun pu choisir une pièce du trésor des pirates. K & O: ... All that in order to access Captain Brisebarre's treasure chest, where each of us could choose one gold coin or a colorful gem as a reward for our efforts.

K & O & L: Pour la fin de notre promenade à l'est de notre département, nous avons visité Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye. Pas de photos de l'église, juste une de la famille en train d'attendre les pizzas au restaurant. K & O & L: At the end of a busy day of visiting the east of Isère department, we're resting at a restaurant in Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye and waiting for our pizzas.

L: Avant, quand papa approchait avec les petits ciseaux, j'avais très peur. Mais maintenant j'ai grandi (juste comme mes ongles) et je n'ai plus peur. L: I used to scream my head off when Daddy approached me with the small scissors, but I have grown now (just like my nails), and I'm not screaming any more.

K & O: C'est Killian qui nous fait rigoler pendant qu'on mange chez Eva et Arthur. K & O: We're eating at Eva and Arthur's place, and Killian is making all of us laugh.

O: Pas de caries, pas de problèmes, j'ai des dents saines. Si seulement je pourrais arrêter de sucer mon pouce, ça serait idéal... O: I'm happy to announce that all of my teeth are healthy. Now if only I could stup sucking my thumb, everything would be perfect...

K: ... Mes dents sont saines, aussi, mais j'ai le frein entre mes dents devant qu'on doit enlever avec une petite opération. On verra ça en Septembre. K: ... I don't have cavities either, but I might need an operation to take off the Frenulum labii superioris from between my front teeth. Oh, well, we'll see to it in September.

K & O: Maman est toujours Mme Abrakadabra et elle organise le traditionnel théâtre anglais de fin d'année. Nous avons tous les deux fait partie de la mise en scène de Blanche-Neige et les sept nains... K & O: Mommy is still Mrs Abrakadabra and she organized the traditional end-of-the-year English play. We were both in the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs...

K: ... J'étais également dans la deuxième pièce, Prince Cinders, une version de Cendrillon où nous nous sommes vraiment bien amusés. K: ... And I was also in the second play, Prince Cinders, a version of Cinderella where we had a lot of fun.

Cette année, l'ouverture du XXXème Festival des cultures du monde s'est malheureusement passée sous la pluie. Néanmoins, nous avons bien aimé les chants de l'ensemble vocal de Bulgarie. The opening ceremony of this year's 30th annual Festival of World Cultures was not a huge success because of the rain, but we still appreciated the chants of the Bulgarian singers.

K & O: Craig, Juliette et leurs filles sont rentrés de Chine, mais il repartent bientôt aux Etats-Unis pour y vivre. K & O: Craig, Juliette, and their three girls came back from China, but are only staying for a month before they leave again, this time to the United States.

L: Ca y est, j'ai fini une autre bouteille de rosé, encore meilleure que la précédente. Maintenant, je vais la jeter dans la poubelle bleue, réservée au verre. L: I finished another bottle of rosé. This one was even better than the last one. Now I'm going to throw the bottle away in the blue bin, reserved for glass.

K & O & L: Faire du sport régulièrement est très important pour notre santé. K & O & L: A regular physical activity is very important for your health.

L: J'aimerais bien comprendre comment ils fonctionnent ces gadgets que Craig et Juliette nous ont offert. L: I would really like to figure out how these EZ SK8s work. I can tell you it's not that easy.

K & O: Chaque fois qu'on fête l'anniversaire de Cédric dans le jardin de ville, il y a plein de curieux qui viennent voir Yayita le clown, sa piñata et ses animaux en ballon. K & O: Each time we celebrate Cédric's birthday at the park, there are fun games, a piñata, and balloon animals made by Yayita the clown.
