C: Notre chère amie Tinka a publié son premier livre qui a pour le thème le prêt-à-porter français des années 1960 à 1980. La voici avec les copines au vernissage. C: Our dear friend Tinka published her first book. It's about French fashion in the 60s and 70s of the last century. Here she is with her friends at the book signing.

O: Avec mon groupe de cirque, nous avons fait le spectacle de cette année devant le Grand Angle. Maintenant, j'arrive à jongler six balles! O: With my circus group, we're entertaining the crowd in front of Grand Angle. This year, I can juggle six balls!

C & R: Nous avons visité les espaces verts de Voiron et nous avons vu beaucoup de plantes qui sont ensuite plantés partout dans la ville. Tonton Stéphane, aide-nous à les identifier toutes! C & R: We visited the city's botanical garden where all the plants for the urban green spaces are grown. Uncle Stéphane is a municipal gardener and he should be able to identify most, if not all of these plants.

R & O & L: Nous sommes à Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye, un autre joyau départementale que nous n'avons pas visité auparavant... R & O & L: We're at Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye, another nearby historical village that we've never visited before...

C: ... J'ai bien aimé le jardin avec les roses au musée. C: ... I quite enjoyed the rose garden at the museum.

C & O: La vue sur les montagnes de Vercors derrière nous. C & O: The landscape with the Vercors mountains behind us.

O & L: Papa nous enseigne toujours d'oser, de prendre des risques, de ne pas avoir peur, de pousser nos limites, d'explorer et découvrir. O & L: Daddy teaches us to dare, to take risks, to be fearless, to expand our horizons and push our limits, to explore and discover.

C & O & L: Ce samedi matin, nous avons acheté quatre barquettes de fraises qu'on compte bien finir au jardin de ville pendant notre pique-nique. C & O & L: This Saturday morning, we bought one kilogram of strawberries and we will eat them at the city garden for our picnic.

C & L: Notre cerisier a bien grandi ces six dernières années, et maintenant qu'il donne des cerises, il faut les protéger des oiseaux avec un épouvantail. Mais il est un peu trop gentil avec son sourire. C & L: Our cherry tree sure grew in the past six years, and now that it's full of cherries, we have to put up a scarecrow to scare off all the birds. It's not doing a very good job with his smile, though.

C & R: Cette nuit-ci, nous avions espéré voir l'aurore boréale rouge, mais tout ce qu'on a vu était la lune et le ciel noir. Par contre, la balade nocturne jusqu'à Notre Dame de Vouise était une expérience exhilarante! C & R: Tonight, we were hoping to see the red aurora borealis, but all we saw was the moon and the black sky. However, walking to the Notre Dame de Vouise after midnight was quite the experience!

Voiron a organisé une belle parade pour les fêtes de la Chartreuse... The city of Voiron organized a parade for the Chartreuse festival...

R: ... C'est important de partager ces moments conviviaux avec les personnes justes... R: ... It's important to share the happy moments with the right people...

... Comme par tradition, la soirée se clôture avec un spectacle pyrotechnique devant l'église. ... The evening finished with the traditional fireworks show in front of the church.

C & O & L: Nous avons accueilli Tiade, un jeune allemand qui faisait de la percussion avec son groupe pendant les fêtes. C & O & L: For a few days, Tiade stayed at our home. He is a young German drummer who performed with his group during the festival.

Ceci est notre premier asado, organisé annuellement à Vizille... This is our first asado, organized yearly in the city of Vizille...

C & O & L: ... Nous avons passé un après-midi sympa avec le Club Franco-Espagnol, en mangeant et discutant et jouant... C & O & L: ... We spent a lovely afternoon with the French-Spanish Association, eating and talking and playing games...

C: ... L'idée de venir à l'asado était celle de Carlos, donc merci à lui et à ses enfants et à son pays, l'Uruguay... C: ... It's thanks to Carlos that we came to the asado, so three cheers for him, his kids, and his country, Uruguay...

R & O & L: ... Ils ont mis un mât de cocagne qu'il fallait grimper. Nous avons tout essayé, même faire une colonne de nous trois et nous n'avons toujours pas réussi à toucher la cime. Mais l'année prochaine, ça sera la revanche! ... R & O & L: ... They put up a greased pole and we climbed and tried everything, we even did a column and we still couldn't reach the top! But there is always next year! ...

C: ... L'asado n'est pas loin du château de Vizille, alors nous nous promenons dans le parc avec Patricia, Christiane et Anne... C: ... The asado was not far from the Vizille castle, so we walked in the park a bit with Patricia, Christiane, and Anne...

O & L: ... L'après-midi a fini avec un match de foot entre le Chili et l'Argentine. Ou bien c'était l'Equateur contre la Colombie? Peu importe! O & L: ... The afternoon ended with a football match between Chile and Argentina. Or was it Ecuador against Colombia? It doesn't really matter!

R: Ces derniers mois, chaque lundi soir je fais une heure de fitness. Merci, Nico, pour tes efforts et encouragements et pour motiver tous ces gens! K: Comme si le kung-fu deux fois par semaine n'était pas assez pour toi, papa! R: For months now, I've been doing fitness every Monday night. Thank you, Nico, for your continued efforts of motivating people! K: As if kung-fu was not enough twice a week for you, Daddy!

O: Aujourd'hui, c'est la journée défense et citoyenneté pour moi. J'apprendrai des tas de choses sur le service national, le civisme et la lutte contre les préjugés. O: Today, it's the Defence and Citizenship Day for me. I will learn a lot about the French defence and about geopolitical situations, discover the army trades, and even have some first aid training.

C & R: Avant l'effort, le réconfort? Pour le voyage d'affaires de ce mois-ci, nous sommes à Strasbourg. Mais avant de rendre visite aux écoles et bibliothèques, nous nous relaxons à l'hôtel Athena... C & R: Another business trip, this time to Strasbourg. Before we visit the schools and libraries, we have the right to swim in the pool and to exercise and to fill our tummies with a hearty breakfast...

R: ... Nous sommes aussi allés à l'Orangerie, mais nous étions un peu deçus à cause de la pluie et d'apprendre qu'il n'y a plus de zoo dans le parc. Au moins nous avons vu (et entendu) les cigognes. R: ... We also went to the Orangerie, but were a bit disappointed since it was raining and since there is no more zoo in the park. At least we got to see (and hear) the storks.

K & R: Nous sommes à Kreuzlingen, en Suisse avec Mamie et Papy (où la bouteille d'eau coûte 11 euros)... K & R: We're in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland with Mamie and Papy (where the bottle of water costs 11 euros)...

C & K: ... On se promène le long du lac après un bon dîner. C & K: ... We walk next to the port after a nice dinner.

C: Voici la fontaine Kaiserbrunnen à Konstanz avec ses lapins du lac et son paon à trois têtes. C: Here's the famous Kaiserbrunnen fountain in Konstanz with the searabbits and the three-headed peacock.

C & K: Nous prenons le ferry-boat pour traverser le lac... C & K: We're taking the ferry to cross the lake...

C & K & R: ... Un beau collage des photos de Meersburg, une ville charmante de l'autre côté du lac de Constance. C & K & R: ... A nice collage of the sights in Meersburg, a charming town on the other side of Lake Constance.

K: De retour à ma résidence universitaire, Papy est en train de réparer mes vélos... K: We're back at my university dorms and Papy is fixing my bikes...

C & K: On joue au jeu du Président, mais papa n'aime pas jouer parce qu'il perd trop souvent... C & K: We're playing the President card game, but Daddy doesn't like playing because he always loses...

K: Aujourd'hui, c'est mon anniversaire! Je le fête dans un restaurant avec mes parents et mes grands-parents. K: Today is my birthday! I'm celebrating it at a lakeside restaurant with my parents and grandparents.

C & K: La fête des mères et l'anniversaire de la fille sont d'habitude à la même époque chaque année. C & K: Mother's Day and daughter's birthday happen more or less at the same period each year.

C: Le CGAD organise tous les ans une soirée festive et c'est toujours la bonne atmosphère garantie. C: The CGAD organizes every year a festive party and we're sure to have a lot of fun.
