O: Vous allez voir plein de plages et piscines ce mois-ci. C'est l'été! J'adore le sable, comme Kylie-Anne et papa qui sont en train de faire des châteaux de sable derrière moi. O: Plenty of beaches and pools this month, you'll see. I guess it's summertime. You can also see Kylie-Anne and Daddy building sandcastles behind me.

O: Nous sommes allés à l'aquarium de La Rochelle, où nous avons vu des poissons, des requins, des crustacés. C'était excellent! O: We went to the aquarium in La Rochelle, and we saw fish and sharks and crabs and other animals of the sea. It was magnificent!

K: Où est-ce que tu m'as amenée, papa? Il faut faire attention, sinon, on tombe dans l'eau! K: Where did you bring me, Daddy? We have to be very careful, otherwise we'll end up in the water!

O: Oh, vous êtes sûre, commandant, qu'on est sur la bonne route? K: Oui, mais accrochez-vous, cette route va nous secouer! K: Status report! How are we doing, lieutenant? O: All systems clear, commander! Ready for liftoff!

K & O: On a fêté nos anniversaires encore une fois chez pépère Roger et tata Evelyne. Papa a même allumé quelques cierges magiques! K & O: We celebrated our birthdays one more time with great-grandpa Roger and aunt Evelyne. Daddy even lit up a few fun sparkler!

K: Maman et papa me laissent partir avec mamie et papy pendant une semaine. Ils vont me manquer. Et je vais leur manquer beaucoup aussi, j'en suis sûre. K: Mommy and Daddy are leaving me with my grandparents for more than a week. I'll miss them a lot, and they'll miss me, I'm sure!

O: Quoi? Qu'est-ce que vous dites, là? J'ai la maison pour moi tout seul pendant une semaine? Super! O: What? What did you say? I have the house all for myself for an entire week? Great!

O: BOOH! Je vous ai fait peur, avouez! O: BOO! I scared you, admit it!

O: Mmmmm! Cette glace est vraiment délicieuse! Un peu froide, mais délicieuse! O: Hmmmmm! This ice-cream is delicious! A little cold, but still delicious!

O: Voilà la première fois que je me mets debout tout seul. En fait, ce sont les couches qui pérturbent mon équilibre et qui m'ont empêché de le faire plus tôt. O: Here's the first picture where I stand up all by myself. I guess it was the diapers that were upsetting my balance and preventing me to do it sooner.

K & O: Il y a même des lapins et des hamsters très mignons dans ce parc des oiseaux. K & O: There are even rabbits and hamsters in this bird park and they are really cute.

K: Julio et Daniela sont en train de me lire une histoire en portugais. K: Julio and Daniela are reading me a story in Portuguese.

K: Quelqu'un a sonné pour une infirmière? Oui, c'est vous? En quoi est-ce que je peux vous aider? K: Did someone ring the bell for a nurse? It was you? Yes, how may I help you?

K: Cours, Inès, voyons qui arrive en premier jusqu'en bas! K: Run, Inès, let's see who gets to the bottom first!

I: J'ai deux ans et Kylie-Anne me montre comment souffler mes deux bougies. I: I'm two years old and Kylie-Anne is showing me how to blow out my two candles.

K & O: Il est très moderne, ce nouvel aire de jeux pas loin de chez nous. En fait, si vous regardez de près, vous verrez notre immeuble blanc derrière nous. K & O: This new modern playground is not far away from our place. In fact, if you look carefully, you can see the white building where we live in the background.

K: Apparemment, papa n'a pas assez joué dans le sable quand il était petit. K: Apparently, Daddy did not play in the sand enough when he was a kid.

K & O: En allant en Serbie, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Grado, en Italie, pas loin de Trieste. Sur cette plage, on peut marcher un kilomètre et toujours avoir pied. K & O: On our way to Novi Sad, we stopped in Grado, in Italy, not far from Trieste. At this beach, you can walk in half a mile and still reach the bottom with your feet.

K: "Papa crabe s'est pincé le nez, maman crabe s'est pincée les joues!" En fait, à Grado, papa a attrapé plein de petits crabes. Celui-là à l'air particulièrement énervé... K: In Grado, Daddy caught a bunch of little crabs. This one looks particularly feisty...

O: ... Montre-moi! ... PINCE! ... O: ... Let me see! ... NIP! ...

O: ... AAAAAIIE! M. Crabe: Cela t'apprendra une leçon! O: ... OUCH!!! Mr. Crabby: That'll teach you a lesson!

K & O: Les couleurs de la mer à la fin de la journée sont très jolies. K & O: The colors of the seaside at the end of the day are really nice.

K & O: Qu'est-ce qu'on mange dans un resto italien? Des pizzas et des pâtes, bien sûr! C: Et malheureusement, des moustiques aussi! K & O: What do we eat in an Italian restaurant? Pizzas and pasta, of course! C: And unfortunately, mosquitoes also!

O: Le soleil tape très fort, mais heureusement, maman a pensé à emmener l'écharpe, et on peut l'utiliser comme parasol. O: The sun is really strong, but fortunately, Mommy brought the scarf and we can use it as a beach umbrella.

K: Le soleil tape très fort, mais heureusement, papa a pensé à m'emmener dans l'eau. K: The sun is really strong, but fortunately, Daddy brought me in the water and that cooled us down.

K & O: Finalement, on est à Novi Sad, chez Nagymami et Nagytati (les parents de papa)! Tata Babi et Diana nous attendait, aussi! K & O: Finally, we are at Nagymami and Nagytati's place in Novi Sad! Aunt Babi and Diana were also waiting for us!

K: C'est la piscine de Lilly Charlotte, et elle est parfaite pour les trois filles qui jouent au ballon. K: This is Lilly Charlotte's pool, and it is just perfect for the three girls playing with the ball.

K & O: On a mangé beaucoup de pastèques chez nos grands-parents. Elles coûtent dix fois plus cher en France, vraiment. K & O: We ate a lot of watermelons at our grandparents'. They cost ten times more in France, seriously.

K: Je fais du coloriage avec Diana et c'est moi qui décide quelles couleurs on peut utiliser. Presque exclusivement le rouge. K: Diana and I are coloring this poster, but I'm the only one who decides which color we can use. Red, almost always.

K & O: Bon appétit! On mange souvent et beaucoup ici, comme si Nagymami et Nagytati pensaient qu'on ne mange pas assez chez nous. K & O: Since we only see them once or twice per year, Nagymami and Nagytati make sure that we eat a lot when we are with them.

O: J'aime bien le balançoire! En fait, Kylie-Anne l'a utilisé beaucoup plus que moi, mais elle va très vite et toutes ses photos sont floues. O: I like this swing! Actually, Kylie-Anne used it a lot more than me, but since she always goes very fast, all her pictures are quite blurry.

K & O: Il faisait très chaud en Serbie quand on était là-bas. On s'est baigné souvent dans la petite piscine avec Nagytati. K & O: We are cooling off with Nagytati in the little pool. It was hot in Serbia while we were there.

K: Nagytati nous a amené sur le balcon et dans le cellier, aussi. Il y a plein de choses à voir dans cette maison. K: Nagytati took us up on the balcony and also in the attic. There really are a lot of things to see in this house.

O: J'aime ma grande soeur! K: Moi aussi, je t'aime, petit frère, mais tu commence à être lourd! K: I love my little brother! O: I love you, too, big sister, but can you let go of me already?

K: On est à la piscine de Temerin. On a pensé que Nagytati a eu un attaque cardiaque quand il est allé de l'eau chaude à la piscine froide, mais apparamment, c'était juste une élongation de muscle. K: We're at the pool in Temerin. We thought that Nagytati had a heart attack when he went from the hot water to the cold pool, but it seems he only pulled a muscle.

K & D: Ouf! Ce mois-ci était épuisant. On mérite de faire un grand dodo jusqu'à août. K & D: Wow, this month was exhausting! We deserve to rest all the way until August.
