K: Pour la première fois, je suis venue à l'école avec la trotinette. Papa a bien peiné de me rattraper. K: I came to school with my scooter for the first time, and Daddy had a hard time keeping up with me.

K: On adore les calendriers de l'avent! Chaque matin, on a le droit de manger un petit chocolat. O: Est-ce que je peux en avoir un autre encore? Oui? K: Our advent calendars arrived on the first day of December. Until Christmas, we get to eat one small chocolate every morning. O: Can I have another one right now? Yes?

C & O: H1N1, nous nous sommes vaccinés contre toi! Lalalalère! C & O: H1N1, eat your heart out! Mommy and I got a vaccine against you and now you cannot touch us.

K & O: Papa a preparé un repas mexicain et regardez comme c'est joli. Le soleil est fait de chili con carne sur un lit de riz et les rayons du soleil sont des nacho chips. K & O: It's Mexican day again and Daddy prepared chili con carne over rice and nacho chips on the side.

K & O: Voici les enfants hongrois de l'association France-Hongrie Dauphiné avec St Nicolas qui, comme toutes les années, nous a apporté des cadeaux et du chocolat. K & O: These are some of the Hungarian kids of the France-Hongrie Dauphiné association with Mikulas who, like each year, brought us gifts and chocolates.

K & O: Nous voici à Grenoble en route du marché de Noël. Qui c'est qui a dit que cette poussette est juste pour une personne? K & O: Who said this stroller is not made for two kids? This way, it was much easier to walk the streets of Grenoble when we went to see the annual Christmas market.

K & O: C'est nous qui voulions décorer notre sapin en rouge et or cette année et nous en sommes très heureux. K & O: Our Christmas tree that you can see behind us is red and gold this year. Just like us, we're all red and gold this year!

K & O: La neige! La neige est arrivé ce matin! Finalement! La neige! ... K & O: Finally, when we woke up this morning, we had a nice surprise outside. The snow is here! ...

O: La neige n'arrête pas de tomber. On doit prendre la luge pour se promener. Vous voulez que je vous amène un tour? O: Daddy, I don't want you to pull me on the sledge. Can I pull you instead?

Cette année, Voiron a décoré la ville avec des boules bleues et blanches qui penchent sur les arbres, l'église avec des couleurs sur la façade qui changent tout le temps et la fontaine où les guirlandes simulent l'eau qui tombe. This season, on the trees of the city, blue and white giant balls hang in wintery silence. Voiron also decorated the church façade with everchanging colors and in front of it is a light fountain.

K & O: Maman a acheté une grenouille rigolotte qui va pousser des poiles. "Comment" vous dites? Eh, bah, vous verrez le mois prochain. K & O: Mommy bought a chia pet frog. You need to wet its back and sprinkle some seeds on it and then it will grow fur. What? Yes, I know it sounds silly, but you'll see it next month.

C & K & O: Après une bonne heure dans le froid faisant le bonhomme de neige que vous pouvez admirer sur la page principale, il n'y a rien de mieux d'un chocolat bien chaud. C & K & O: After making the snowman that you can admire on the front page and spending more than an hour out in the cold, there is nothing better than a nice cup of hot chocolate.

K & O: Cette fois-ci, il faut qu'on touche le mur tout en bas, d'accord, papa? Allez, on y va! C'est partiiiii... K & O: This time, let's reach the wall, Daddy, OK? Ready? Steady! Go!

K: Nous sommes allés à Lyon voir "Soundiata, l'enfant buffle, l'enfant lion", un spectacle qui nous a beaucoup plu. Et juste après, j'ai essayé les patins pour la première fois. K: Look at me! I'm trying out skates for the first time in my life. This was in Lyon, after we went to see an african-themed show with lots of songs and dance.

Le vent a fait envoler notre tente de la terrasse et papa est allé la chercher. Et puis, le vent a fait envoler notre papa. It's not just snowy, it's also very windy these days. Daddy tried to fly with the tent, but all he managed is to be pulled across the parking lot and hit a car. And even that, not very hard!

R: Une coupe de cheveux, un rasage et un peu de manipulation de la photo et voilà que je me transforme. R: No strict diets! No daily exercises! K: Je saute, je cours, je rigole, et papa essaie de m'attraper avec la caméra. K: What a great game Daddy and I came up with. I run in from the living room to the hall and he tries to take a quick picture of me.

K: C'est la veille de Noël et nous avons mangé le dernier chocolat, un Père Noël deux fois plus grand que les autres chocolats du calendrier de l'avent. O: Est-ce que je peux en avoir un autre encore? Oui? K: Well, it's the morning of the night before Christmas and we finished the advent calendar. The last chocolate was a Santa Claus twice as big as the rest of the chocolates. O: Can I have another one right now? Yes?

K & O: Nous avons fait un tour de calèche dans le centre de Voiron. Les deux juments s'appellent Poupette et Palombe. K & O: The city also organized a wonderful carriage ride in the streets of downtown Voiron. Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!

K & R: L'atelier peinture a encore était actif cette année avec une tortue, une crabe, des étoiles et des poissons, et même un éléphant fainéant en pâte à sel. K & R: We made a bunch of salt dough sculptures and now we're painting them. There's a turtle, a crab, some stars and fish, and even a tired sleeping elephant.

C & K & R & O: Joyeux Noël! Cette année, nous avons décidé de rester à la maison et de fêter Noël ensemble, en dançant et mangeant. C & K & R & O: Merry Christmas everyone! This year we decided to celebrate it at home only the four of us and we had a lot of fun dancing and eating.

O: Tiens! Une truffe, des litchis, un gâteau et un verre de lait. Justement, j'avais faim! C: Mais non, c'est pour Papa Noël, tout ça! C: We put out a truffle, a cookie, two litchis and a glass of milk for Santa Claus. O: Can I have a bite of the truffle and a litchi, Mommy?

K & O: C'est Noël, c'est Noël, c'est Noël, c'est Noël, c'est Noël, c'est Noël! K: Papa Noël m'a apporté exactement ce que je voulais: une robe de princesse fée mariée et une Barbie avec son poney. O: Et moi, il m'a apporté un super train en bois. K: Santa Claus brought me exactly what I wanted: a fairy princess bride dress and a Barbie with her pony. O: And he brought me a great train set. K & O: It's truly a magical Christmas! Yaaay!

O: Qu'est-ce que vous pensez de ma cicatrice en chocolat? J'ai l'air beaucoup plus méchant que d'habitude, vous ne trouvez pas? O: Arrrr! Did you know September 19th is the International Talk Like a Pirate Day? I'm a little bit late for it this year, but that's because I just got this chocolate scar. Arrrr!

O: A une demi-heure de chez nous, à La Côte St André, il y a le centre aquatique Aqualib avec une tortue dans le pataugeoire. Encore une chose super chouette que nous venons de découvrir dans la région... O: Only a half an hour away from our place, in La Côte St André, we discovered the Aqualib aquatic center with a turtle in the kids' pool...

K: ... Ce que j'aime le plus ici, c'est l'eau chaude et le toboggan géant, où je suis allée une dizaine de fois (et une fois même toute seule). Et aussi, j'adore sauter dans la piscine... K: ... What I like the most is the warm water and the big slide (I went on it all by myself). And here, you can see me jump fearlessly in the pool...

K: ... Et le fait que je peux nager toute seule m'épate! Bref, Aqualib, il faut y aller. K: ... And then swim out by myself, just to jump in again. I love it!

O: Non, non, plus de photos, s'il vous plaît! Mademoiselle princesse fée mariée ne veut plus être photographier. Sinon, on se cache! ... O: No more pictures, please! The beautiful fairy princess bride wishes no more photo sessions today. If you don't stop, we'll have to hide! ...

K & O: ... Caché! Ah, oui, Papa Noël nous a apporté ces jolis parapluies, aussi. Il est vraiment très gentil. K & O: ... OK, we're hidden! Coincidentally, Santa Claus brought us these funny umbrellas, also. He's really very nice.

K & O: Il y a Marie, Joseph, et l'enfant Jésus dans la scène de nativité à l'église de Voiron. K & O: There's Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in the manger at the church.

K & O: Nos copains Laura et Rémy sont venus nous rendre visite pendant quelques jours. Après l'histoire du soir, nous avons essayé de dormir dans le même lit tous les quatre, mais c'est impossible. K & O: Our friends Laura and Rémy came to visit us for a few days and we are listening to the bedtime story. Later, we tried sleeping all four of us in the same bed. You know what? It's just not possible!

K & O: Deux enfants dans la nouvelle cabane à la Magie des automates à Lans-en-Vercors. K & O: Two kids in the new cabin at the La Magie des Automates in Lans-en-Vercors.

L & K: C'est qui cette abeille? C'est qui cette fleur? L & K: Who's this bee? And who's this flower?

L & K & R & O: Les parents nous ont dit qu'on peut partir dès qu'on se calme. Ce n'est pas pour bientôt! L & K & R & O: Our parents told us that we can leave as soon as we calm down. So we're not leaving soon!

K & O: Nous sommes montés jusqu'au Planolet pour faire la luge, mais comme vous voyez sur cette photo, il n'y avait pas assez de neige. K & O: We climbed up to Planolet to sledge a little bit, but contrary to what you might think by looking at this picture, there was not enough snow.

L & K & R & O: C'était un peu la perte du temps pour mettre tous ces vêtements d'hiver et combinaisons de ski. On dirait que c'est toujours l'automne ici. L & K & R & O: It was pretty much a waste of time putting these winter clothes and snowsuits. It's as if it was autumn here.

O: Je bois un verre de cidre pour fêter cette fin d'année. A la vôtre! Ca n'a jamais été mieux; ça ne sera jamais pire! O: Well, my friends, here's a health to the company! Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain! 2009 is slipping away and another New Year is awaiting us! It has never been better; it will never be worse!
